There's a new ballad on the block. Nearly 14 years after breaking up, the '90s boy band New Kids On The Block are back with a new ballad on their official Web site.

It's amazing how someone can affect in our lives in such a profound way and even in passing have left such a mark as to never be forgotten. The world is a better place because of this man and he will be sorely missed by all.

Sledding? Not Quite

Because of the big storm that hit on Martin Luther King Day, Brett was unable to get much done at work that day. He called on his way home to inform me that he wanted to take the kids sledding again. We were without a babysitter that day and Brynlee didn't have much fun the last time so I opted to stay home. He invited Tyson and Shaun to come along too. They ended up just pulling the kids around on the tubes on the back of Shaun's 4-wheeler. The kids had a blast and I was able to stay inside and be warm.

Is he the next Michael Jordan?

It's that time of year again. Time when all little boys converge to live the dream of becoming an NBA Basketball Player. Yes, it's Jr. Jazz time again. Keep in mind that last year McKade was afraid of the basketball. Meaning that he ran in the opposite direction of the ball anytime it came near him. To our surprise this year we think he may be the next Michael Jordan. He LOVES basketball and he's really quite good too. Teamed with his friend Tyson they may even be the next Stockton to Malone. The funny thing is that he isn't the tallest kid around but he can make shots like you wouldn't believe. Who knows maybe he will be rich and famous some day.

Tiny Dancer

So Brynlee had her first "official" dance recital since starting dance at Becky's School of Dance. This was their Christmas Recital and we were all so excited. Brynlee had been asking for weeks to put on her costume and I kept telling her she had to wait. We woke up at 0 dark hundred that morning because Brynlee needed her hair curled and of course she needed makeup. Unfortunately these are the only pictures we have because our little Princess developed a case of stage fright and there was no dancing going on at this recital. Maybe next time!!!

SLEDDING

We got a call from our brother-in-law Clint one Saturday wondering if we would like to go sledding. My first thought was, "um, no are you nuts, it's freezing outside." With some convincing from Brett we went out and stocked up on outdoor clothing. By the way, if you wait until December 29 to buy snow boots you've waited too long and every store in the Salt Lake Valley is sold out. After searching and searching we found what we were looking for. So I put my hatred of the cold aside as did all the other parents and we headed to Herriman to find a hill. We went with the Lufts and the Hunts and Uncle Shaun tagged along as well. The kids had a blast and boy did we all sleep good that night.

HARLEE BUG

Our little Harlee bug is now 6 months old. I can't believe how time can fly. I always like to look back and see how they have grown. In 6 months she chunked right up and loves to have her "chubbers" tickled.

CHRISTMAS-BELATED

I do realize that it is now the middle of January but I kind of got a late start getting this going and love Christmas so much that it would be kind of a shame not to post some of our Christmas pictures. I love to see the kids faces. That's what it's all about!!!

First Post

After much lurking on other blog spots I have decided to start one for our family. 2008 is a new beginning for us. We have taken a step back and re-evaluated many things in our lives in hopes for a fresh start and a chance to do many of the things we should have already been doing.
