Winter Revue

Today was our first winter revue at our new dance studio. This time both Brynlee and Harlee had the chance to dance. Brynlee's team uses this as a dress rehearsal for their first competition and gives their teacher a chance to see what they still need to work on. I am so proud of my Harlee Bug. She wasn't scared at all and got up on stage and danced her little heart out. I sure hope she loves dancing as much as her older sister does!

Gymnastics Meet

We have been talking about taking the kids to see a University of Utah Gymnastics meet. I was able to score some free tickets and we decided to take everybody. The boys were really skeptical but after it was all over Trevin really loved it. The Utes ended up losing but not by much and it was definitely a fun family night out.

Wrestling

McKade had his first wrestling meet tonight. I wasn't able to go and watch because I was on kid duty at dance. He won his first match but lost his second match. He is loving wrestling!

Brynlee's Costume

Brynlee had a dress rehearsal during regular class time but we had to practice with the hairpiece before. It looks bigger than her!

Dress Rehearsal

Today was Harlee's dress rehearsal for their Revue that is next week. She was able to wear her costume and I did her hair and makeup. She danced around in the mirror saying, "I'm so beautiful". This is one time I think I have to agree with her.

Land of the Living

After 3 weeks of being sick with a sinus infection, strep throat and a bladder infection, I think I have finally come back to the land of the living. What an awful three weeks. I was on 3 different antibiotics and literally did not leave the house that entire time. I don't remember ever feeling so horrible. Brett was amazing and stepped in to be both mom and dad during that time. I ended up missing Brynlee's class play but Brett videotaped it so I could watch it that night. I am hoping that I am fully recovered now and won't have to deal with anything like that anytime soon!

Birthday Party

Brynlee was invited to a birthday party for two girls that she danced with at Salt City and became really good friends with. Their dad is a trainer for the Jazz and their birthday party was held at the Jazz Practice Facility. The boys begged and begged to tag along knowing that the girl's brother would be there as well. This was a dream come true for all of them. The girls got to learn a short dance taught by two of the Jazz Dancers and the boys got to take a tour of the facility, look at the players lockers and play a little basketball on the floor. It was a fun night full of good company, dancing and food. Couldn't ask for much more!

Basketball

Basketball is in full swing now and Trevin is really loving it. He amazes me with his dedication and determination. He is on the JV team but several times they have asked him to stay after for the Varsity game as well. His one true passion is still football but it is so good to see him enjoying so many other sports as well.
