Zinc Team Party

I volunteered to help out as a team mom for Brynlee's dance team. Part of our job it to host a party before competitions start to help the girls and the moms really get to know each other better. We decided on Pizza and cookies and the girls each got their own blanket embroidered with Synergy and their name. They were able to tie their blankets while they rocked out to the Disney Channel. We were missing tow girls. One girl had strep and the other was competing her solo at a dance competition that night. There is nothing better than the sound of 11 giggling little girls. It was fun and though not all the moms stayed the adults had a good time too. I can't wait for competitions to begin.

McKade's Birthday-Part 3

We ended McKade's birthday week with a family party. We get together for dinner and cake and ice cream. I try to keep it small because it just gets too chaotic with too many people. McKade got spoiled rotten by everyone and loved it, of course.

McKade's Birthday Party-Part 2

I am a horrible mom, I know it and I am even going to admit that McKade has become victim to the middle child syndrome. He has only ever had 1 friend birthday party and that was years ago. His birthday just seems to fall at a bad time every year. We still seem to be recovering from Christmas and hoping for a tax return. Well, this year he turned 10 and he really is the most patient, loving child who doesn't ask for much-EVER! This year we wanted this birthday to be special. He decided on Incredible Pizza and I let him invite 4 friends. I was worried that we may run out of things to do and the kids might run out of money on their game cards and it would end up being a lame party. Well, 4 1/2 hours after we arrived we had to push the kids out the door. The party was so much fun and the best part was that I didn't have to clean up afterwards. Happy Birthday McKade!

Dance Pictures

Today Brynlee had team pictures at her dance studio. They had people come in to do their hair and makeup. This sounded like a great idea but turned out to be pure chaos. We already had a birthday party booked for McKade and his friends at Incredible Pizza so after she had her hair and makeup done I left her in the hands of a trusted dance mom to supervise her while she waited for all her pictures to be taken. 4 1/2 hours later they were finally done and Brynlee was able to have a sleepover with one of her new but best dance friend.

Happy Birthday McKade

10 years ago and 3 1/2 weeks early McKade made his appearance. He was by far our most mellow baby even though he didn't sleep through the night for 9 months. He has turned into an amazing young man. He is the best big brother to his little sisters. He is an amazing reader, a very good speller and he is also really good at math. Even though he stomps his foot at me sometimes he is a really good helper around the house too. We are so lucky to have him in our family. He keeps us laughing all the time. Happy Birthday Bubba!



We celebrated his birthday with our little family today. I took him lunch and a Dunford Donut to school today and tonight we went out to Red Robin to celebrate. He opened his presents after dinner and hopefully you can tell from the pictures how excited he was about what we got for him. He was almost impossible to buy for this year but thanks to my uncle we were able to get him the only thing he asked for, an iPod touch.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is a holiday that we don't make a big fuss over at our house. Brett and I went out to dinner last week to avoid the crowds and we don't usually buy anything for each other. This year he surprised me with some flowers and we decided to surprise the kids with some small gifts. The girls got Valentine's dog pillow pets and the boys got new players for their MP3 players.

Valentine's Boxes

The kids had their Valentine's Day parties today. Their school doesn't put a huge emphasis on parties and because today was a short today they all took time out in the last hour of class to have a small celebration. McKade's class had a contest to see who could decorate the best box. McKade's box came in 2nd out of all the boys in the class. Trevin and Brynlee didn't have a contest so because we are really short on time during the week we bought theirs at the store. They were still really cute little mailboxes that lit up. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

High Honor Roll Breakfast

Trevin earned High Honor Roll for the 2nd term. They celebrate with an early morning breakfast and award ceremony for parents and students. There were only 2 boys in the 6th grade that earned High Honor Roll. I am so proud of Trevin and how hard he has worked. School has never been easy for him and this is really a huge accomplishment. Way to go buddy!

Harlee's New Haircut

I have gotten so fed up with Harlee's hair lately. It's curly. It's really curly on the top, not so curly in the middle and has really soft pretty curls on the bottom. It seems like she has the same hairdo every day and I am tired of it. I made an appointment with a fellow dance mom who cuts hair and was so cute with Harlee. She cut her some bangs and straightened out her curls. I love the new do and so does Harlee.
