The First Day of School

It's finally here-it's school time again. Ours however will be short lived because we go off track in 3 short weeks. The boys have adjusted amazingly well to the new school and have reported several new friends. They love their teachers and so far I LOVE their new school too. Don't they look handsome and oh-they are growing so fast!!!

Holy Pumpkin!!!

This is what we found when we got home from vacation. Our pumpkin plant had almost doubled in size and we have a pumpkin that is already the size of a small watermelon. I can't believe how much it grew in just the week we were gone. We also counted about 5 or 6 other small pumpkins that are starting to grow.

VACATION!!!!

We are finally back from our trip to St. George. It started out being a family trip to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho but with the prices of gas these days we decided to find somewhere a little closer to home but far enough away to call it a vacation. It was hot but it was so nice to get away for a week. We did a lot of swimming, made our first trip to Zions National Park, did some more swimming and a little bit of shopping. It was a nice relaxing vacation but it was sure nice to be home back in my own bed again.

Mr. McKade

This is what I absolutely love about this little boy. He can put on a funny face but still be McKade. His 1st grade teacher said that all the kids turned to McKade for the safety of his friendship. He does not care what people think and will be a truly loyal friend no matter what. We Love You McKade!!!

The Alpine Slide

We started our vacation a little early today. Brett was finally done working because we are leaving on vacation tomorrow so we decided to start our vacation today. We made our way to Park City hoping to avoid the heat but get out of the house. We did a little shopping, went out to dinner and then Brett took the boys on the Alpine Slide for the first time. McKade was really nervous but took off down the mountain as soon as it was his turn. Trevin absolutely loved it and Brett had a good time showing his boys what used to be one of our favorite places to drive to on a Friday evening. Brynlee got to ride the carousel and that seemed to make her happy. Harlee always ends up sitting in the stroller. Sorry Bug, you will be big soon enough to enjoy all the fun of the older kids.

The Golfing Boy

I signed Trevin up for a Jr. Golf class through Salt Lake County Parks and Rec at Mountain View golf course. I think Trevin has found his calling in life because he LOVES golf!!! We ended up getting him his own set of golf clubs and now all he can talk about is going golfing with Brett. Here are a few pics of him on his last day.

Happy Birthday Brynlee Hope

Today the Princess turned 4. I look at my baby girl and can't believe how she has grown. She's definitely the princess of this house and kept reminding us that "I am the boss of my birthday". We had a joint party for the two girls on Harlee's birthday and then today Brynlee got her own party with a few of her friends. We got pizza and put the big waterslide out for them to play on. Brynlee had a blast and I think she really enjoyed her birthday this year.

American Idol

Tonight me and the kids-minus Harlee-Denice and Joanie were able to go to the American Idol Concert at the E Center (thanks Denice). I am now the newest member of the David Cook fan club. I wasn't totally convinced that he should have been the winner until I saw him in concert. Not only is he an awesome singer but he's pretty easy on the eyes as well. Don't get me wrong, I am still a huge fan of David Archuleta. We did realize that concerts probably aren't for 3 year old little girls who still have a very small attention span but we all had fun anyway.

Happy Birthday Harlee Bug

Today my baby girl turned one year old. It's a little sad but yet very exciting because she is growing up and life at the Ruoti home is settling down just a little bit. Having a baby in our home has been exhausting but very fun at the same time. She is turning into quite the fun little girl. She has this infectious grin for me everytime I walk into the room and she is so happy all the time, her face lights up when I walk over and pick her up. We couldn't have asked for an easier baby for number four. She is getting very close to walking and pretty soon I can see her chasing her brothers and sister around everywhere.

We had a joint birthday party for Harlee and Brynlee and it was chaotic and fun all at the same time. We had lots and lots of food and a fabulous pinata-thanks Dad and Joanie. Thanks to everyone for pitching in and bringing food-it was greatly appreciated. Harlee dug right into her red cake and proceeded to smear it all over herself and all over my new shorts. Who puts red on a baby smash cake-right!!!
Happy Birthday Harlee Bug-We Love You!!!

The 4th of July

Well, not quite the 4th of July but a celebration for the 4th of July. Every year we join my family at Granite High School for their 4th of July celebration on July 3rd. We hang out in chairs on the grass and wait for the fireworks to begin. Brynlee has decided that fireworks just aren't her thing and ended up screaming the whole time. This was after she bit a hole in her glow necklace and spit it down the front of my shirt so I was glowing as well. This celebration is pretty much the only fireworks we go to for the 4th of July. On the actual day we visited a couple of parks and then ended up BBQ'ing at home and going to bed early. Man we are old!!!
