24th of July

We celebrated the 24th of July a few days early by BBQ'ing with our good friends the Jacobsen's. Their parents let us take over their house because they have a pool for the kids to swim in, a trampoline and a fire pit for s'mores. We ended the evening with some fireworks.

Tumbling

I forgot to include this in Brynlee's birthday post. She has been begging for a tumbling mat forever so we finally gave in and got it for her birthday. She wouldn't touch it. Harlee used it more than she did. She finally worked up a little courage to try a couple of things but then got more brave and finally did her round off backhandspring and aerial. In the meantime she has been working on double back handsprings and has finally landed her aerial on the hard floor which is a good thing because it has already been choreographed into her solo routine which is a topic for a whole other post.

Football Camp and Parade

My boys had the chance to participate in a football camp put on by a guy who played at Hillcrest High School and has played football for several NFL teams. They decided not to play football this year but I thought that this would be fun and help them brush up on some football skills. The best part was that it was totally free. It was 2 days for 3 hours each and the boys loved it.
Our stake also had the chance to walk in the Days of 47 Youth Parade and Brynlee could think of nothing better than to be in a parade for her birthday. We sent the boys to football camp and the girls walked in the parade.

Happy Birthday Brynlee!

Today my other baby girl celebrated her 7th birthday. She is truly an amazing little girl with such a zest for life. I always have people ask me if she really smiles all the time and she really does. She has taught me to love life and to put your whole self into everything that you do. She is an amazing dancer, tumbler, reader and student. I sure love that little girl! Happy Birthday Bryn!

Parties with Friends

Because the girls' birthdays are only 4 days apart, celebrating their special day turns into a week long activity. They both wanted friends parties this year and I had a brilliant idea to do a water party at home with our big waterslide and rent a cotton candy and snow cone machine. I did both the parties on the same day but at different times. After all my worrying it worked out really well. My mom was a trooper and came to help me keep all the kids happy and the girls all had a blast. We had lots of sugar with the snow cones and cotton candy and each girl had their own pinata too. What a fun day!

Happy Birthday Harlee

My little baby girl turned 4 years old today. Where has the time gone? Wasn't she just a baby. She is growing into such an independent little girl and wants to be just like her older sister. I love the passion she is learning for dance and tumbling and the fierce love she has for her dad. She can be in the worst of moods but when her daddy walks through the door a smile lights up her face. She gives the best hugs and makes me laugh everyday. Happy Birthday baby girl, we love you!

Happy Birthday Girls!

Today we were able to celebrate both of the girl's birthdays with family. Thanks to the rain, yes, rain in July. We were stuck inside the house celebrating. Happy Birthday to both of my amazing girls!

4TH OF JULY

The 4th of July weekend was full of All Star Baseball games and BBQ's with friends. We stayed up way too late laughing and watching fireworks. It doesn't get much better than baseball, friends and fireworks!
