Cute Kiddos!!!

These pics were so cute I just had to post them. Not much has been going on at the Ruoti home except baseball and dance and school and illness-I guess that doesn't make it sound like there isn't much going on. The kids are counting down the days until school gets out. Trevin and McKade still have 4 1/2 weeks but Brynlee only has 3 more class days left. We are hoping the weather will continue to improve because we are looking forward to spending a lot of time outdoors this summer.

Outdoor Fun

Finally the weather let up for a couple of days anyway and we were able to spend a little time out in the front yard. It has become a favorite of the kids and I love that we have a flat driveway and Brynlee can ride her scooter up and down and I don't have to worry about her going out into the road. The boys can set up a mean game of basketball with the neighbors or a fun but competitive game of baseball and have plenty of room. They are still in the process of making new friends but it seems that everyone comes this way when the kids are outside. They are learning to love their new house and their new neighbors and are getting really excited to actually be able to go to their new school in a couple of months.

Happy Birthday Brett!!

Today is my hubby's birthday. Unfortunately it chose today to rain and Brett hates to work in the rain so it kind of spoiled his mood. He got his birthday present last week-a new patio set for our new family friendly patio and back yard. We ended up winning tickets to go to the premiere of the new Indiana Jones movie and decided to pull the kids out of school early so we could go see it. Kind of a cheesy movie but it was free so who can complain. We ended the night with dinner at Iggy's and Peanut Butter Bars at home for dessert. Thank you honey for everything you do for our family and Happy Birthday!!! We love you!!!

Army Crawl

We never thought that Harlee would crawl and no she is not crawling yet but she has figured out how to get around-finally. She digs her feet into the ground and then pushes herself on her stomach. It takes her a while and sometimes she gets distracted by things around her but she is a determined little girl because me walking away from her makes her really upset. This morning I was doing Bryn's hair for school and she made it from my bedroom into the girl's bathroom but was really upset when we moved to the master bathroom to use the blow dryer. That determined little girl made it all the way to the master bathroom from the hallway dragging herself on her stomach. She has started rocking back and forth on her knees so I am sure it won't be too long now before she will actually be crawling. She is also working on teething STILL. She now has 4 teeth on the bottom and I can see the corner of the front tooth on the top-again. This one has been playing peek-a-boo for a while but the whole corner has finally broken through the gums this time. We love you little Harlee Bug!!!

Brynlee's Un-Birthday

So Brynlee has been asking for months now when it's going to be her birthday and she has had her birthday planned for that long too. Today at school they celebrated her un-birthday since pre-school will be over once her birthday finally rolls aruound. I was invited to come and help celebrate for the first 20 minutes of class today. I really stressed about what to do. It was my responsibility to find something to entertain the girls for that amount of time and I didn't want it to be lame. Originally I was going to make a poster board with pictures of Bryn and then bring her favorite CD for the girls to dance to. When I was walking around WalMart yesterday I came across the perfect project for 8 little princesses. We ended up with 8 foam tiara's and a box of Princess Glitter stickers to decorate the crowns with. The girls absolutely LOVED this and Brynlee was in heaven being the center of attention. We also took some glazed donuts and 8 High School Musical goodie bags to pass out at the end of the day. Everything went smoothly and now I can stop stressing for at least another month and a half when I actually have to plan her real birthday party. I did take some pictures but will have to post them later since I am not exactly sure how to load them onto our new computer. HAPPY UN-BIRTHDAY PRINCESS!!!

Mother's Day

This year I celebrated my 10th year of being a mom. I can't help but reflect back on all those years and how they have flown by. I think my most favorite part of Mother's Day is seeing the look on the faces of my kids when I open the gifts that they made themselves. From Brynlee I got an apron with her little hands stamped in paint and decorated so carefully. She was so proud of herself and almost couldn't contain her secret. From McKade I got a picture that was taken of him at school dressed in old fasioned clothes and holding a baseball mitt. This picture captures just what McKade is made of. Apparently when you get to 3rd grade the teachers think you are too old to make something for your mom. Trevin was devastated that he didn't have anything to give me. I had to remind him that it didn't matter and that all I really needed was to be reminded that he loves and appreciates me. Brett trys to out-do himself every year and wanted to get me a TV for our bedroom. I nixed on that idea because I can't bring myself to spend any money and settled instead for some new clothes, a movie, a CD, and a gift certificate for a day at the Spa Club. I am so grateful for my little family and love that I have been chosen to be the mom to these four wonderful little spirits.

Random Thoughts

Our computer is on the fritz so I don't have any pics to post right now. The weather is still playing against us, the kids are back in school which makes them happier than ever, Brynlee is, well, she's Brynlee (need I say more). Harlee is teething which for her means two or three teeth at a time. Right now I have counted two new ones, one on the bottom and one on the top for a total of four now. She has learned to wave "bye, bye" and claps when anything makes her happy. I am the chauffeur to and from baseball and I hate to say it but I am looking forward to the end of baseball season so that life can slow down a bit again. Brett and I were able to sneak away with our friends The Tibbitts on Friday night for dinner and a movie. We had a yummy dinner at the Training Table and then we saw "Made of Honor" (McDreamy was as dreamy as ever). Brett even had to admit that "it was okay". Thanks for the chick flick honey, I love you!!! Thanks Denice for watching the rugrats until the late hours of Friday night and the kids thank you for the trip to Leatherby's (you are crazy). Hopefully the weather continues to change for the better. Until then Brynlee, Harlee and I have a standing date on Tuesday's with Kelly and Triston at the park, of course, as long as the weather cooperates.
