Parent Teacher Conference

It was the first Parent Teacher Conference of the year and I am so proud of my kids so far. Trevin is doing really well in all 8 of his classes and his teachers say they enjoy having him in all of their classes. McKade is my sneaky talker who will whisper to his neighbor but his teacher doesn't miss a thing. Brynlee is our perfectionist who gets upset with herself when her project doesn't turn out exactly like the teachers does. They are all doing so well and I can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings.

I am including a picture of Trevin practicing his guitar. This is one of his favorite classes and I am amazed by how fast he has picked it up.

The Grand Event

This week our school held a "Grand Event". This is for the kids to invite a special person to come and spend some time with them in class and enjoy a treat after. McKade and Brynlee chose to have Grandma Bonnie come and spend time with them. I think she had a good time getting to know more about their school and working on special activities with them.

Baseball, Baseball and Random Kids

The boys have enjoyed playing Fall baseball this year and I have enjoyed the gorgeous sunset we get to see while watching the boys playing.

I had to include some random kid pictures in here too.

My Sick Dad

My dad has fought with a nasty disease his entire life and this year his body couldn't fight it off any longer. He ended up in the hospital with E-coli and it almost took his life. It was really overwhelming for all of us and he ended up staying 5 days in the hospital. He was able to go home and is back to work but is still facing some surgery in the near future to get things under control again.

Labor Day

We spend Labor Day at home relaxing and ended up at the batting cages with the boys at the end of the day.

Lagoon

We had another chance to go to Lagoon with my mom and her husband. It was his work day and the entire day was free for us including the food. The kids had a blast and we ended up staying until it closed for the night.

The End of Summer

And just like that another summer has come and gone. We had a lot of fun this summer with swimming, Lagoon, baseball and just taking it easy and seeing where the day takes us. All good things eventually come to an end and with school starting back up so has our crazy schedule. We have to factor homework for 3 kiddos into that and Brett and I are running in two or three different directions every night. Brynlee and Harlee have just started their fall dance classes and we will have to see if 8 hours of dance a week is too much for Miss Bryn. She promises me it won't be but, we do have at least 1 hour we can get rid of if we need to. Her solo is completely choreographed and coming along nicely. She is so excited!
We ended our summer with one final day at Lagoon with my mom and her husband. It was his work day so he was able to get us all in for free. We got there when it opened and couldn't talk anyone into leaving until the rides started closing. It was a gorgeous day and the crowds were small. Now we have the long winter looming ahead and I am hoping to find us some indoor activities to help time pass without spending too much time inside on the couch watching TV this winter. Goodbye summer!!!!!
