Where oh where
Where oh where could the warm weather be? I have a serious case of cabin fever and unfortunately so do the kids. We were a little bit spoiled with the nice weather in St. George and a trip to the park on Tuesday so when it snowed ALL DAY today we all felt a little imprisoned in the house. The boys begged and begged to venture out into the back yard to get a closer look at the bird they noticed had built a nest in a broken part of the cement wall that is our back fence but it was so wet and soggy I told them they had to wait. They ended up settling on a nice game of Nerf Dart Tag with Tyson and tore apart the basement I was so desperatley trying to clean. Brynlee just plain wants to get out of the house and sticks to the boys like glue hoping that I would grant them permission to go out and she would be able to follow. Sorry kiddos, it snowed well into darkness. Tomorrow is another day-let's hope it is warmer and brighter.

St. George
We absolutely had to get out of town this weekend. Brett has been working so hard lately and we have had no family time so we decided to leave it all behind and get away. No baseball, no work, no deck, no phones, no nothing. We had this planned for a while and it worked out really well because the weather was perfect in St. George this weekend. We went down with Denice and Brett's parents. Our friends the Hoggan's had planned to go with us until Friday morning when Triston ended up with an ear infection. We missed you Hoggan's. If it had been up to me we would have stayed an extra day but Brett had a busy day at work today and just couldn't get another day off right now. We took the kids to the Fiesta Family Fun Center for a little Miniature golfing and batting cages. On Saturday morning the boys got to go ride along in the golf cart for a serious golf game with Brett, Pa and Denice. They absolutely loved it and thought the best part was when dad threw his golf club to the ground and then threw a ball into the water. We were able to spend some time at the pool even though the water was freezing, spent some time shopping and had some family friends who live in Cedar City over to the condo that night for a BBQ. Sunday morning we kind of hung around the condo and relaxed and then stopped at a local bowling alley for a quick game before heading out of town. Unfortunately we came back to winter but it sure helps the spirit to get away especially to warmer weather for a short time.

Clark Planetarium and Snow
Since the kids are off track my friend Kelly and I decided we needed to get out and especially get the kids out. For the month of April all the shows at the Clark Planetarium are only $5 so we decided to take advantage of this. We took the kids to see "Secret of the Cardboard Rocket". This show was in the dome where they have the laser light shows and the kids loved it. McKade and Brynlee asked several times if we were moving. Trevin asked if the ride was like the Tower of Terror at Disneyland. It ended up being not only fun but educational as well. Our original plan was to go to the show and then eat our lunch outside by the fountain. Mother nature had other things in mind today. We ended up at the food court in the Gateway. When we came out of the show it was raining and as we sat and ate our lunch we watched the rain turn to snow. To keep the kids entertained we let them jump around on the three germ infested rides that are sitting in the Food Court. We never even had to put any money in the rides and they kept the kids entertained for a good 45 minutes. I guess you have to be prepared to improvise when Mother Nature is in charge.

Harlee
Harlee is now 9 months old. I took her for her 9 month well check today and she is a whopping 17 lbs 3 oz and 26 inches long. She is in the 25th percentile for her weight and the 15th percentile for her height. Dr. says she is growing well and looks great. I had to look back and see how big Brynlee was at this age because she has always seemed so small to me and at 9 months Brynlee only weighed 16 lbs 6 oz and was 26 1/2 inches long. Looks like Harlee may end up passing her sister up. That's okay she may need to be bigger so she can defend herself from her three crazy, older siblings.

Our Next MLB Stars
Aren't they handsome? We took this picture before we had to bundle them up in sweatshirts before their baseball games on Saturday. It was about 15 degrees colder than it was on Friday night and they both played at 4:00. Occasionally the sun would come out but the winds were yet again howling and I ended up standing on the side of the snack bar to shelter Harlee and I from the cold.

My Hubby
I know that I am constantly blogging about my kids, well, they are pretty much my life right now. I think in the midst of running here and there from dentist appointments to baseball practice and then to dance that I forget about my hubby. My hubby who has been working his tail off most recently. I just want him to know that we truly appreciate and love him and thank him for all his hard work so that I am able to stay home everyday and run the kids to and fro(I know I complain about it but I do live for it). We love you Brett!!!!
