TOSH

Trevin's one dream is to play college football and then to either play in the NFL or coach football. I don't remember ever having a dream like that at his age. I think it is so amazing and I hope that we can help his dream come to fruition. The one problem that he has is that he is kind of slow. He has all the heart in the world and knowledge of the game but he's slow. We decided that because fall baseball is pretty low key and they don't practice as much as they would with football that we would sign him up for some speed and agility training at TOSH. He has just started his training and this was a picture of them teaching him how to run on the treadmill. Hopefully this will pay off in the long run.

Another School Year

Here we are at the beginning of another school year and this year we have a 7th grader. Yikes!!!! I am so thankful for our school and the fact that all my kids can stay there until 10th grade. Sending Trevin off to Junior High wasn't quite as scary. We walked into the building on the first day and he was in a group of friends and they were laughing and goofing off. There is a huge difference when there is only 75 kids in the 7th grade. So far he is doing really well and really enjoying it. McKade is now in 5th grade and finally got a teacher who is willing to really push him. He has had a lot of homework but I can see that his brain is working again and he doesn't seem so bored with school. Brynlee is in 2nd grade and loving it. She is in the same class as one of her BFF's again so she was so happy. She was a little nervous on the first morning but is really enjoying her new teacher and soaking it all up like a little sponge. Here's to another great school year.

This is the Place

As a kind of last hurrah of summer my dad took 15 of us to This is the Place. It was an overcast day and there was nobody there. We did get rained on at the very end but the kids had a blast. They couldn't believe that a family of 12 could live in a one room house and that they had to go outside to go the bathroom. McKade said he could live like that because he could just pan for gold all day long. I love that kid. It was fun because we hadn't been there before and yet again, educational!

Crazy Sleeper

I put Harlee in bed every night but never know what I will find when I head to bed. Usually her legs are hanging off the bed. For some reason it must be really comfortable to her. Tonight she was almost completely hanging off of the bed. She is so funny. I don't know how she was so sound asleep.

1st Full Day and Feathers

Harlee had her 1st full day of preschool and she did so good. Her best friend Oakley is in her class so she was right at home and did really well. Brynlee had gotten a feather in her hair at the beginning of the summer and Harlee had been bugging me to get one too. I told her if she was a big girl and was brave at school that we would get her one! She was so excited.

Tracy Aviary

I was able to score a pretty good deal to Tracy Aviary. The kids had never been and I invited my mom to go along with us. It was a hot day but we braved the heat and found some shade while we watched the bird show. The kids had a good time and I was able to sneak something educational in without them really knowing.

1st Day of Preschool

Harlee had her 1st day of 4 year old Preschool. She had been so excited but got really nervous and shy when we got there and wouldn't look at her teacher. She has the same teacher she had last year but we are at a different location this year. Hopefully she will open up and not be so shy on her actual first day of school.
