Black Friday

We were fresh off our vacation and ready to hit the stores. We set up a sleepover for all the kids and Grandma and Pa's house and we were off. We hit the Outlet's in Park City first because The Children's Place has such an amazing sale. Our next stop was Toys R Us but when we pulled into the parking lot we changed our mind. This was the last stop for Terra and Clint because Terra had to work on Friday. Next we headed to Walmart and at this point it was about 2:30 in the morning. Amy and I staked out our place in line at Walmart and Denice and Brett headed to Target. My original plan was to just have Walmart price match everything but there was one thing they didn't carry that we had to have. After an hour of waiting in line at Walmart to pay after they opened at 5am we were off to RC Willey. No luck on one of the items there but we did walk away with another great deal. Our last stop was Shopko and then home for 2 hours sleep before we had to go get the kids. I can't believe we haven't been doing this for years. I am looking forward to next year and having all of us there.

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day marked the end of our Disney Trip for 2009. We woke up early to get on the road in hopes of beating the traffic. It didn't work. It took us 5 hours to get from Anaheim to Las Vegas. This is normally a 3 1/2 hour drive. This also messed up our plans for a Thanksgiving Dinner and we ended up eating at Burger King in Las Vegas because everyone was so hungry. Oh well. I am so grateful that we were able to spend this time together as a family. I am also grateful for our health and employment. Without either of these we would not have been able to take this trip. I am so grateful for my husband who works so hard for our family and I am grateful for my kids who make me crazy and so happy all at the same time. I don't know what I would do without any of these. I am grateful for a warm house to sleep in even if I don't love it and for a car to get me to and fro. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Disney Trip Day 5

Today was our final day at Disneyland. It was also the hottest day so far. We ended up purchasing hats and flip flops because it warmed up so quickly. We started the day out by standing in line at Pixie Hollow to see Tinkerbell. The line the day before was an hour wait and I didn't want to wait that long. I think this was the highlight of Harlee's trip. She absolutely loves Tinkerbell. We knew the park would be crowded because of the holiday being the next day and we were right. We spent most of the day at California Adventure where the crowds weren't as large. By the time 9:00 rolled aroud we were all exhausted and everybody's feet hurt. We called it an early night as we all agreed we had done and seen everything we wanted to. This was by far one of the best Disney trips we have been on. I think 4 days was perfect. I didn't feel like we had to hurry and we got everything done and then some. I am sad to see it come to an end but we will be back. The kids are already asking when. I think next time we will visit for Halloween.

Disney Trip Day 4

This morning we had our Magic Morning at Disneyland which means that we got to go in an hour before the park opened to hit some of the rides that get really crowded really fast. We were able to finish off the rides in Fantasyland and then still have enough time for me and the girls to get in line at the Princess Fantasy Faire so we wouldn't have to wait forever. Brett took the boys on some rides while the park wasn't so crowded. We also sat and watched the Christmas parade today. It's so fun to be at Disneyland during the Christmas season. Although, I found it a little hard to feel too much like Christmas when you are wearing shorts and flip flops and it's 80+ degrees outside.

Disney Trip Day 3

This morning we were up bright and early again to head over to Disneyland. We spent the majority of the day at California Adventure. One of the first rides we hit was The Tower of Terror. This was Brynlee's first time on the ride and I am not sure if she will ever go on it again. Trevin was crying before we even got on the ride which scared Brynlee. By the time we got off they were both crying. I love that ride but they hated it. Oh well-maybe next time. We spent the evening in Toon Town which was probably the least crowded of the whole park because of Fireworks and Fantasmic that night. We were able to walk right into Mickey's House and right out to the back where Mickey was. I think we waited in line for 5 minutes to see Mickey-yippee!!! We skipped out a little early tonight-9:30 because we have to be up early in the morning for our Magic Morning.

Disney Trip Day 2

We woke up early this morning grabbed some breakfast at the hotel and got on the road so we could get to Disneyland as soon as possible. Traffic was very light and we made the trip from Las Vegas to Anaheim in 3 1/2 hours. Disneyland was pretty crowded and we were directed to overflow parking because their other lots were full. I was surprised by how many rides we were able to do that day. We also had a reservation at 5:40 for Goofy's Kitchen. I love Goofy's Kitchen and it was a good way for us to sit and relax for a bit while the kids still got to play. We stayed at Disneyland that night until about 11:30 and were able to catch a glimpse of the firework show.

Disney Trip-Day 1

This morning we headed off on our Disney vacation. Our first stop was Las Vegas where we spent Saturday night. We didn't get in until about 4:30 and decided we wouldn't do too much except get some dinner and walk around a little bit. We had to be up early the next morning to drive into Anaheim and go to Disneyland. We ate at the ESPN Zone at New York, New York. This was Trevin's dream restaurant with TV screens and football games on every screen everywhere you turned. The food was good and the kids were very well behaved. We walked over to the M&M Factory and walked around and then headed back to our hotel for a good nights sleep.

Football Party

Brett's football team had their year end party at Jumpin' Jacks. We had all the pizza we could eat and the kids wore themselves out. What a great way to end a great season. Good job Copper Hills Pewee Silver team.
