Football 2009

We anticipated this day all week after we found out that Trevin's team was going to the playoffs. Brett hasn't slept all week and I thought I might die from anticipation. Trevin's team was playing an undefeated Bingham team that walked all over us the last time we played them. Our boys came out kicking and screaming and fought all the way to the last second. Trevin almost picked off a pass and got knocked down a few times but these kids played with heart and they wanted the win so bad. We lost the game 14-6 but those kids had nothing to be ashamed of. We held the lead until midway through the 3rd quarter and the Bingham team that looked past us finally realized they might actually lose this game to the underdog Copper Hills team. No one thought they could do it and even though they didn't win they proved everyone wrong today. I am so proud of Brett and the way that he helped these boys grow. He got a team full of kids who had never played tackle football before and he taught them passion and love of the game. I am sad to see it end but so proud to see the passion in Trevin's eyes for a game that he was terrified to play a year ago. Don't worry-we will be back next year-same time, same place!!!!! GO COPPER HILLS!
(This picture has nothing to do with anything but it's the only one I could snap during the game. I was too busy cheering!!)
